Apologies if this doesn’t work — I can’t find a page elsewhere — but dig this description: “Interring the Albatross: Transmission of Bluster and Fox Mcloud is a work that explores Samuel Coleridge’s The Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner, the doomed hero and the dissonance of fantasy space noises, particularly those of Super Nintendo’s seminal video game Star Fox, one of the first console games to employ three dimensional polygons. Somewhere within sculpture through storytelling, through the transmission of form, are narratives that pass like the Mariner’s hoary beard from land to land, like night, with the strange power of speech. The Mariner, the Star Fighter, and the Air Men form an interstice of interminable futility, the holy loop hole of adventure. This work attempts to conjure the space between the champagne bottle christening and the sailor’s forfeit: gambling with the lords and ladies of death with laser bolts faster than the Pony Express.” Woof!
